Anyone else feel like throughout the whole year, you have a bunch of ideas for your halloween costume, but you forget them all by mid-October? Is it just me?
To help me out, I took a trip to the costume atelier of the Opera de Montreal! I mean, it's definitely the best spot for inspiration. Every costume ever made by the OdM is hidden in the basement of Place des Arts...
Good thing I had some help from Geneviève Fortin! Or else I never would have found the perfect princess costume! This gorgeous (and heavy!) gown is from the 1998 production of La Cenerentola by Rossini. Can I get an Amen?

Can't you tell I'm happy AF?
And the detailing that goes into each costume is insane!
What to wear to Zerlina and Masetto's engagement party!
I also stuck around for a fitting of Don Giovanni! John Giffen, who will be singing in the chorus of Opera de Montreal's next production, was nice enough to pose all mafioso!
Wouldn't you smile too if someone was dressing you up?
We are also totally digging our opera friends who dressed up for Halloween!
Soprano Pascale Spinney as Snow White pre-apple biting.
